Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd. has marketed the EDM2/EDAF3, which is suitable for manufacturing multi-cavity molds for Precision Parts such as LEDs and narrow-pitch connectors. The structure that controls the influence of heat generated by the discharge makes it possible to maintain stable machining accuracy for a long time. The machining accuracy in the depth direction is up to ±2μm. Processing time can be reduced by about half compared to the company's original products.
Robots and loaders can be easily automated by loading workpieces from either side. In addition, the height of the machining groove can be set according to the height of the workpiece, and the work table can be opened on three sides in the preparation stage, so that the operation performance is excellent.
The maximum weight of the workable workpiece is 500kg for EDAF2 and 800kg for EDAF3. The amount of movement of each axis, EDAF2 is X350 × Y250 × Z250mm, and EDAF3 is X450 × Y350 × Z350mm. In terms of price, EDAF2 is 14.8 million yen (excluding tax), and EDAF3 is 16.2 million yen (excluding tax).
