The VG series of inverted machines is designed by EMAG for the machining of small and very small workpieces. VG 110 is a production grinding machine for batch processing of high-Precision Parts. It can realize the combined machining process of internal grinding, cylindrical grinding, non-round grinding and hard car + grinding. The machine covers an area of only 5.3m2, the diameter of the workpiece can be 2~60mm, the length of the clampable workpiece is 125mm, and the maximum machining length is 60mm.
Structural features of the machine tool
The bed of the VG series machine is cast from high-grade polymer and has the characteristics of good thermal stability and strong shock resistance. The X-axis and the Z-axis are separated, so the machining accuracy is high when machining small workpieces. The vertical Z axis is driven by a linear motor, so the range of the grinding spindle is fast and short. In the vertical machine tool arrangement, the X-axis, which plays a decisive role in the machining accuracy, leaves the machining zone. The measuring system has a very high resolution and is installed at a position of only 100 mm from the processing area. The machining accuracy of the machine tool can reach 0.5 to 1 mm.
The variable frequency AC main shaft is used as the workpiece main shaft and has the characteristics of light weight and large torque, so the machine tool has good dynamic feeling. Due to the small stroke, high speed and rigidity of the machine tool, there are built-in cooling system cooling electric spindle, grinding spindle, linear drive system and electrical cabinet. Therefore, the non-machining time in the production process is extremely short and the production efficiency is high. Good precision retention. In addition, the configuration of a rotatable E-axis on the turret compensates for the deflection of the grinding wheel mandrel.
The modular machine structure of the product allows the user to assemble different tools according to different machining needs. The VG series machines can be configured in the following different configurations: one or two internal grinding spindles; one inner or outer grinding spindle and one turning tool.
The VG series machine adopts the Siemens SINUMERIK 840D control system, which is easy to use with EMAG's own software, which brings convenience to programming and operation.
Short loading and unloading time
Reducing the loading and unloading time is extremely important to shorten the processing time. When machining VG series machine tools, the workpiece spindle is loaded by itself for only 1.5s, and the speed is very fast. For workpieces that cannot be transported by the spindle, the workpiece is fed into the processing area by a feeding mechanism and then transported to the fixture by a lifting platform. The loading and unloading time is slightly different depending on the fixture, and is generally within 4s.
